Willy T’s… More than just a boat

If you are familiar with the British Virgin Islands, then you must know about the infamous floating boat bar. If you have never been to the BVI’s and don’t mind cutting loose once in a while, then Willy T’s must be on your to-do list!

What makes this bar such a site to see is its simplistic structure, with its somewhat warn exterior. But once the sun goes down the sparkling of the dance lights and laughing of patrons radiates off the nearby trees of Norman Island.  A family owned business, established in June of 1985, originally started with a 1935 Baltic Trader as their vessel. Unfortunately, in the late evening of 1995, she was lost to the sea as she sat moored to Norman Island. After a failed attempt to restore the old Willy T in the hopes of making it a new BVI dive site for visitors, the owners were on the voyage to find a successor and had the bar reopened less than one year later!
